SOOO GOOD... YOU WON'T WANT TO SHARE!

Savor our famous dark chocolate bar, which is made with 75% cacao from a single source in Guatemala's Alta Verapaz highlands. This smooth, rich chocolate supports significant variation with each bite while delivering strong taste notes.

Single-Origin Excellence from Alta Verapaz

Our 75% single-origin dark chocolate represents the pinnacle of Guatemalan cacao craftsmanship. Every bean in this bar comes exclusively from the misty highlands of Alta Verapaz, where the unique terroir creates cacao with unparalleled complexity and depth. This isn't just dark chocolate—it's a pure expression of one of Guatemala's most celebrated cacao-growing regions.

The Alta Verapaz highlands, nestled between 1,200 and 1,600 meters above sea level, provide the perfect microclimate for exceptional cacao cultivation. The region's volcanic soil, rich in minerals and organic matter, combined with consistent rainfall and cloud cover, creates growing conditions that have been refined over millennia. These factors contribute to the development of cacao beans with distinctive flavor profiles that range from bright fruit notes to deep, earthy undertones with hints of tobacco and spice.

The ancient Maya civilization recognized this region as sacred cacao territory, and for good reason. The same geological and climatic conditions that made this area ideal for cacao cultivation centuries ago continue to produce beans of extraordinary quality today. Our single-origin approach ensures that you experience the pure, unadulterated flavor of this remarkable terroir in every bite.

The Art of 75% Cacao

At 75% cacao content, this bar strikes the perfect balance between intensity and approachability. This percentage allows the complex flavors of our Alta Verapaz beans to shine in their full glory while maintaining the smooth texture that makes each bite pleasurable rather than overwhelming. The higher cacao content also means you're getting maximum antioxidant benefits and the pure essence of Guatemalan chocolate tradition.

The minimal sugar content—just under 15%—is carefully calibrated to complement rather than mask the natural flavors of our exceptional cacao. This allows the terroir-driven notes to emerge fully: the bright acidity that comes from the highland altitude, the rich earthiness from the volcanic soil, and the subtle complexity that develops through traditional fermentation methods.

Crafted by Visionary Farmers

Our chocolate begins its journey in the skilled hands of Indigenous farmers in Chisec, Alta Verapaz, who understand that exceptional chocolate starts with exceptional beans. These master cultivators have inherited generations of knowledge about cacao cultivation, from selecting the perfect pods to timing the crucial fermentation process that develops the beans' complex flavors.

The traditional post-harvest processing methods used by our farm partners are critical to achieving the flavor profile that makes our single-origin chocolate so distinctive. The beans are carefully fermented in wooden boxes, allowing natural yeasts and bacteria to develop the precursor compounds that will become the chocolate's flavor notes. This process, refined over centuries, cannot be rushed or mechanized—it requires the experienced eye and skilled hands of artisan farmers.
